Some Purple creations

no sorry not that kind of Purple as I have trouble working with the colour Purple. Some Purple Onion cards I did up last night.

Happy birthday.

It was Mum's birthday on the weekend and this is her card using the Happy birthday border tape stamp.

Thinking of you.

On this one I coloured with my Copics straight onto the stamps and the quickly stamped them onto the script stamped kraft.

I used the Late 1800's script background and a blossom from the Blossom set.

Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

I've been cropping

I was at an all day crop yesterday and had a blast. I love catching up with the girls there and got a few giggles too although I could do without Missy Narelle hiding my Copics on me. lol

I can't share much of what I did yesterday as I was working on my Lime Tart projects for the next kit. If you would like to see a sneak peek of a project I did earlier you can pop on over to the blog. The September kits should be up on the site very soon and I am sure that you will love them, especially the A la tarte. I know I do.

Here is a layout I can share.

Happy little swinger.

I have done this one up for the lift challenge over at Bon's for the cybercrop. I have scrapnapped one of Sandie's children yet again. Thanks for letting me Sandie.

I just couldn't help myself and added some crochet trim and doily to my page. I struggle doing boys pages as I feel lost with lace, flowers and all things girly.

Today was a washing/housework and stay in day. Missy only got out of her pjs when she had a shower before dinner. After lunch I settled in to some more creating and worked on my Purple Onion projects. We also made some pikelets. Yummy yummy.

That's all from me for now. As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Lets get shabby layout and an announcement

The new challenge is up over on the shabby blog.

Challenge 15 is all about

MUSIC

We would like to see music papers, bars and notes used on your creation in some way.

Here is what I created.

While on retreat a few weeks back my friend Sandie gave me some of her gorgeous photos to play with and when I got this one I knew just what I wanted to do with it.

Lots of scrummy Websters papers.

Doilies and flowers.

Mixed with paint and layered on some sheet music papers sewn together.

I had so much fun that I am going to do up another layout using the same photo. One for Sandie and one for the parents of Sandie's daughters friend.

The time has come for the

‘Let's Get Shabby’
team to grow!

If you are a fan of all things shabby and would love to be a part of our team,
then here is what you will need to do:

1. Play along with our current Music themed challenge.
(post this creation to your blog as usual)

2. Create a new creation inspired by our ‘Gingham and Floral’ Challenge
(do not post the ‘Gingham & Floral’ creation on your blog or any galleries until after the successful new DTers have been announced)

3. Email both new projects to the email address here on the Shabby blog along with a link to your blog, a short bio on yourself and your Shabby style.

(Both the ‘Gingham and Floral’ Creation and your short bio will be used in your introduction if successful)

Deadline is 20th September.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

October heritage class

For Just scrapbooking.

This is a part of my scrapping efforts from the weekend.

Lots of layers, cardboard and a handmade flower too.

And I just realized no hand cutting again. Two classes back to back with out it I think I may have to make sure the girls have to do lots in November. lol

The photos are of my mum camping out the back of Bussleton oh so many years ago when they were allowed to go rabbit shooting, hence the rifle in the middle photo.

If you haven't got any plans for tomorrow night why not pop on over to Bon's for their cybercrop. Sounds like a lot of fun.

As always thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Heritage layout

I taught my monthly class at Just scrapbooking today and yet again had all the girls cutting out patterns from papers and cursing me.lol They should be usd to me by now don't you think.
Here is the layout I taught today.

and I found out that next months class is fully booked with a wait list already. I even have given the girls a break from all the cutting as there isn't any in that class. I may just have to make up for it in October. lol

We went out for dinner tonight so that I didn't have to come home and worry about cooking something. It was so yummy and I am soooo full.

Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy scrapping.

August project sneek

The gallery should be going up very soon showcasing what the Lime Tart girls have done this month and I thought I'd post a sneak or two of my projects. I got to play with the Half Tart this month.

Layout sneek.

Card sneak.

Will share my projects in full once they have gone up over in the Lime Tart gallery.

Since starting on my Copic addiction I have fell in love with these cute little critters again. I got myself a few when I first started stamping/cardmaking about 10 years ago and have recently added a few more to my collection.

I am going to enter this into the House mouse vintage challenge.

Retreat scrapping

I've been retreating this weekend with some friends and had such a blast. I had some dt work that needed to be sorted out for Just scrapbooking and Lime Tart and once that was done and dusted I played around with creating for a few challenges.

Sweet cat dreams

Our Reenie sound asleep in her basket.

I love Missy Lou but this green paper was really giving me challenge.

I hot Mama.

I ended up swipping the green paper with white paint and ink as it was too stark for me. The photo is of friend Yvonne taken a few years back. She challenged me at the retreat to scrap it for her. She has been scrapping for years and has always included a punched out frog on her layout and her grandies love looking for them so when I finished it I added a frog for her. You can see him sticking out from under the flower spray.

After struggling with this when Lou said as she was working on a layout that she needed to think outside the box I challenged her to do a layout with her cricket. lol it was like I asked her to pull her teeth out a defiant no. Anyway Yvonne and I were joking with her about it all and we started to play little tricks on her. Turning of her cricket a few times and the like. Well we decided to hijack her gypsy when she went and had a shower. When she came back there was a ransom note on her chair. It was so funny watching her trying to work out who we had passed it onto. Hope you still love me Missy Lou.

I'll share my Lime Tart projects once they go up in the gallery.

Little Lou.

I have been promising Lou for a while now that I would scrap her up a tag and here is the start of it. I am going to pop her into a insert and embellish the outside a little. I have done this up for a challenge blog I stumbled across called 7 kids collage fund challenge blog. The challenge was to use pink and dots.

Here are the colours I used to colour Lou.

Hair-E50,e51,e53
Skin-EOOO,EOO,E01,R11 and so E11 as eye shadow.
Here dress, shoes and flowers were all stamped on patterned paper.

Hi card.

Here are the colours I used.
Hair- C3,C5,C7,BV29
Skin-E50,E52,E53,R11
Dress-E31,E33,E35

The latest challenge over at Hero Arts is to create a back to school or keep in touch project. I just love the scene I created.

Here are the colours I used.

Grass-BG93

The other day Craig asked me if I had a tag he could use. When he said what he wanted it for, ID card for a meet and greet he was going to that day for his radio club I suggested that I scrap one for him for his next one. So I did.

Craig's tag.

I have done this up for a challenge over at The Club Anya blog to Morph one of their cute little people. I stamped up two images and then swapped the heads over to give the original one a new look.I have used from the Roll Call set Pau'ls head on Dylan's body.

Before you go just a little update on my Missy from this morning.

I was brushing my teeth this morning and I thought to myself that the tooth paste tasted funny and didn't think anything else of it until........

"Mum does your toothbrush taste of soap"

The little brat had put soap on our toothbrushes last night as a prank. I was so not happy.

And what did I do.

Grabbed her toothbrush, put soap on it and continued to brush her teeth with it. It didn't fazed her though. She was so proud that she had pulled a prank on us and told everyone at school all about it.

Well that is it for me. I have got some serious packing to do. I am of to a scrap retreat tomorrow with some friends and I so can't wait.

Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.
