What a week.

No scrapping out here but a nice week anyway.

Sunday I took a few pics of Missy out back. Here are two of my favs.

Monday to Wednesday was work as usual. One more week and I'll be on holidays. Wahooo can sleep in if Missy lets me. lol

Thursday food shop, housework, Missy's dancing class and dinner with the girls from work.

Friday I got my hair cut and have spent the rest of the weekend getting used to my new do.

lol My hair hasn't been this short in ages.

And my copy of the latest Cardmaking, Stamping and papercraft was in the mail box.

You can bet your last dollar that it was opened in a flash to check out my cards on pages 20-22.

Won't totally spoil the surprise for those that haven't seen it yet so here is a sneak.

Saturday was the Copics course. What fun. I have learnt a little more about my new toys and have came away with a few more tips and ideas. Thanks Debbie.

Here they are in their new home. Nearly all of the Ciao's and a few Sketches. lol They had out grown Rach's little bag and I am sure they will out grow this one too. I may just need to get another tote so the Sketches have their own home.

Saturday night I coloured an image for a card on the Lime Tart blog during the week. I can't share it just now but will do once it has gone up on the blog. I also started work on some images for a swatch book with samples for different colouring of hair and skin using Copics.

Today I did some more colouring, housework and not much else.

If you are after a great scrappy bargain or two then pop on over to Scrap Therapy as they have a sale on now.

Till next time thanks for popping in, any comment and happy creating.

I'm back

with another card. Forgot this one that I did up for the latest sketch over at Card patterns.
lol

Best wishes.

and a close up of my butterfly. I stamped it up on some of the Pink Paislee paper and gave it a touch of my BG93 Copic marker.

I used a buttefly from the Purple Onion Vintage butterfly set along with a greeting from the Hopscotch sentiments set.

A big share

Hoping you all have had a nice week and weekend.

Mine out here didn't start out too well. Felt very average at work on Monday and woke up on Tuesday with a sore throat and no voice. No work for me for the rest of the week it turned out that I had a viral infection. So I pretty much spent two days (Tues and Wed) sleeping and trying to fight it off. It worked as by Friday I was 100% better but with a croaky voice. lol the girls at the Just scrapbooking crop all laughed over my voice.

I managed to do a layout and a card while at the crop.

Park Princess.

I was given some scrummy Girls papeiry (spelling?) papers this month by both Just scrapbooking and Lime tarts and did up this layout for Just scrapbooking. The girl in the photo is Georgia, the daughter of my fellow "Let's get shabby" member Ruth. I seen it posted on her blog and asked if she would let me scrap it for her.

Here is another layout from my Just scrapbooking dt kit using some Purple Onion stamps.

Crazy hat girl.

I have used the Vintage journal label, a spotty heart from the Doodled hearts set and the word love from the Love you to stitches set on the same page.

While I had my Purple onion stamps out I did up this card.

Thank you.

I used the Thank you note block stamp, Large deluxe label stamp and the medium butterfly from the Vintage butterfly set.

Here is a close up of my Copic coloured butterfly.

I have used
Y00, G00 and E71 here.

I am enjoying my Copics but still have a lot to learn. My shading/blending is really hit and miss lately but hopefully I'll get a few tips when I go to the Copic course on Saturday.

Here are my Lime Tart projects. I got to work with a special Limited edition kit this month.

Reluctant Cuddles.

Photo shoot.

Gift card set (2 of 6 cards)

and matching box.

Just for you.

Happy birthday

This is the card I finished at my crop on Friday. I didn't get her finished in time for the upload to the Tart gallery. I had the image coloured just need to pop her on a card. Here are the colours I used.

When Philippa sent me my kit she also popped in a few stamped images of a Sweet pea fairy. One of the newer ranges of stamps she has in store. I must admit I wasn't too fussed on them when they came in but I think I may just get a little hooked after colouring one in.

For you.

I did take a close up pic but it wasn't all that clear.

My weekend.

Started with me and everyone down at the rec center on Saturday morning needing ear plugs when Missy decided to throw a major hissy fit.
All over not winning a toy in one of those game machine thingys. Lasted for about 30 mins.
I calmly sat and ate the hot chips we had ordered and had my coffee while she was yelling at the top of her voice telling everyone what a bad mum I was by not letting her have another turn at the game and saying she wanted another family. When I finished we left to go to the newagent and get lotto. Still screaming in the car so I turned up the radio, she screamed louder so up went the radio. At the newsagent she decided that she wanted to buy a stuffed toy and wasn't going to leave with out it. We left without the toy and the car screaming/radio session continued. Luckily for me we only had a five minute drive. Still screaming when we got home so it was a trip to the bathroom and she got a fully clothed cold shower. Screaming stopped. Once she had sorted her self out she was evicted to her room for a while where she feel asleep.

The rest of my weekend was pretty uneventful after that.
Fish and chips for dinner on Saturday. I taught a heritage class in the afternoon

over at Just scrapbooking and we went out for tea last night.

I didn't do all that much that I can share right now over my weekend scrappy wise but here is what I can.

August Heritage class.

Now to start thinking of what to do for September. lol

Well that is all from me for now. I'm of to work shortly. As always thanks for popping in, any comment and happy scrapping.

Aussie scrap jack and some blog candy

Wow three posts in one day. That's a first I think.lol

Not long after I posted the second post I noticed that the ASJ blog had been updated. Yes blog. We have gone back to using the blog now so make sure if you had the ning site saved anywhere to change it back to the blog.

Here is what I created. A card inspired by Peg's layout. The photo inside the heart on the layout inspired me to cut out one of my favorite Stampavie stamps and pop her onto a doily.

Thinking of you.

and a close up of my copic colouring.

Yes I still need to keep on practicing but I think I am getting there slowly.

Here are the colours I used.

Hat-E33
Hair-E42
Skin-E00,R20
Top-E04
Jeans-G21

And now for that blog candy. Pop on over and check out all the details here.

Ok I'll be back but not till Sunday now.
Till then thanks as always and happy creating.

I'm back

to share another card.

lol I missed that deadline after all.

I needed to do up card for my brother in law who had a 40th b'day party on Saturday. Here is what created with the Purple Onion Doodled birthday stamp set.

Happy birthday

and a detail pic of the present bow. I stamped up the image twice cutting out the bow to give it a 3d look.

I played around with my copics on this one.

Here are the colours I used.

Present-E33
Bow BG 93 and 96

I used my blender pen to take out some of the colour around the spots on the present and doodled the extra line with my multi liner.

I popped out to my LSS on Friday as they had some new Copic colours come in and I had some teaching credit that was calling my name. lol My little bag of copic pens is now pretty much full and they are in need of a new home seeing as I will be adding some more to my collection very soon. I have caught the copic bug bad haven't I.

If you would like to know more about them make sure you are checking out the Marker Monday posts over at Lime Tart. Nic has been working very hard putting them together. She has been going through some of the Copic background in introductory posts over the past few weeks and has worked on getting a Copic club starter kit and ongoing resource folder started too. The copic club starter kit has been very popular and next week she will start to share some colouring tips with us all.

I've had a pretty relaxed long weekend out here. Enjoying spending time at home in my pjs and playing with my latest Lime Tart kit. Can't wait to show you what I have created.

Well that's it from me. I think I will get out of my pjs now.

Thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Quick post

So I can pop this card into a chal over at Colour Q. Hopefully I haven't missed the deadline.

Will be back with a few more cards later.
Thanks for popping in, any coments and happy scrapping.

Blog candy

Over at Scrap Matrix. How scrummy.

My retreat projects and some more pics

Here is some of what I did while retreating last weekend.

Another layout for my friend Lou at my lss. Just loved these pics of her two children playing in a lupin patch.

Discover

I have used two of my favorite Purple Onion stamps on this one. The doodled frame set and a butterfly from the butterfly set.

Beautiful

This one I did up for a Aussie scrapjack sample but as the jacked layout had been accepted for publication and pulled down we couldn't use it. When I remember which Nicole did the layout I jacked I will pop back in and add the rest of her name. lol

Just for you

I have been playing around with my copics to get the shine right on the hair and finally managed it on this one. Although looking at it here I think I need to touch up her face just a little.

Happy birthday easel card

After seeing Teresa's easel card up on the Lime Tart blog a few of the girls at the retreat wanted to have a try at it too. Here is mine.

I picked up my first popcorn bear while retreating. Isn't he so cute.

While I was packing some of my bags Missy kept on coming out offering my some of her toys to remember me by. After about 5 attempts we finally settled on my favorite pet shop toy, the shaggy dog and her triplet kittens. They were put in my handbag and had just as much fun as what I did.

Here they are raiding my scrap stash.

I have a few more snaps of them and they will be appearing on a layout of some sorts very soon.

And here are my table buddies. My shabby partner in crime, Mandy and my roomie Sandra. We had so many laughs. Thanks guys.

I did do a few classes as well but will share those pics later as I need to add a few things to one of them.

Well that is it from me for now. Till next time thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.

Retreat run down.

I had a blast out in QLD over the weekend so much so that I am planning on trying to go back in two years and this time will make it a family holiday.

I left here on Wednesday night and got into Cairns early on Thursday. After a yummy breakie and a walk or two I meet up with my roomie Sandra and we then met up with Danny who took us out to Babinda to meet Lee anne and to see the shop. We met up with Carol and Kristen there and then Danny took us all out to see some of the sites.

Here's a snap of Danny, Carol and Kristen walking along one of the paths we went along.

When I got back into town I popped on over and met Missy Mandy, my shabby partner in crime and her family. Mandy and I have chatted online for a few years now and since staring the shabby blog together a year ago it has always been a dream of mine to meet up one day.

We had a great time chatting and catching up over the weekend and I am so glad that I can call Mandy a friend.

Here is a pic of some of the other girls.

Thanks everyone for making the trip out to catch up with you all so worthwhile. I enjoyed every minute of it all.

I will be back tomorrow with my projects and some more photos.

Till then thanks for popping in, any comments and happy creating.
